The Grand Day out in Cumbria is a county-wide fundraising day on January 16th 2016 (with a follow up later in 2016) organised entirely by volunteers. There will be fell walks, family trail walks, mountain bike trails and even a mountain bike mystery tour, as well as all sorts of other fun things to raise funds for the Cumbria Community Foundation Flood Appeal, Mountain Rescue and other voluntary rescue services, who were so important during the floods.

The day will focus on supporting local communities which were affected by the floods in December 2015, as well as a chance to enjoy the amazing Cumbrian scenery and hospitality we know and love, the Lake District even has some snow at the moment on the hills.

See the events pages for details of events being held throughout Cumbria and the Lake District this weekend.
