Covid 19 Information
We have always taken pride at Thornthwaite Farm in cleaning our cottages and log cabins to the highest standards; we have been awarded the VisitEngland Gold Award for several years as a result. We are now following the latest Government Guidelines and have implemented a range of new procedures for self check in and check out, developed risk assessments for the holiday cottages and log cabins, and created a cleaning and disinfecting plan. We believe this will help keep our guests safe. We are accredited as part of the VisitEngland Good to Go scheme, and have completed additional training including the Covid 19 – Holiday Let Training Course run by the Landlords Little Helper’s Cleaning School.
We are ensuring that the property that you have booked will be cleaned and sanitised to the Covid Ready Guidelines from PASC UK and Visit England. This includes procedures such as:
– changing all pillows, duvets and mattress protectors at each changeover
-disinfecting all high touch points
-removing bed runners and decorative cushions, information folders and paper leaflets.
-allowing 24 hours between bookings
If you or any of your fellow guests are displaying symptoms of Covid 19 on the arrival date of your stay, we ask that you do not travel to us, and instead follow Government advice and book a test and self-isolate. You will be offered alternative dates for your stay.
If you display symptoms of Covid 19 whilst staying at Thornthwaite Farm, you must inform us, and immediately return home and self-isolate to minimise any risk of transmission and book a test. If you are confirmed to have Covid-19, you should follow Government guidance
If that is not possible and you have to self-isolate here, then you will have to pay for all bookings that have to be cancelled as a result.
