Stable Cottage was originally the stable for the estates heavy horses, used whilst they where being re-shod in the adjacent blacksmiths workshop.  Stable Cottage has been awarded the VisitEngland Gold Award for exceptional quality of accommodation and customer service.

Lounge & Kitchen area

Stable Cottage has an open plan lounge and kitchen/dining area.  There is a  solid oak fitted kitchen with dishwasher, electric oven with halogen hob and microwave. All crockery and cutlery is included. The cottage has solid oak flooring with under floor heating, and quality lounge and dining furniture.  There is a flat screen television with FreeSat and DVD player. Stable Cottage also has free WiFi access.

A  spiral staircase leads to the upper floor.

Bedroom

There is one double bedroom, which again has solid oak flooring with under floor heating.  There is an oak double bed, double wardrobe and tallboy set of drawers. The bedroom also has a small balcony which overlooks the lawned garden to the side of the cottage.  All Bed linen and towels are included.

Bathroom

The ensuite bathroom is fully tiled with under floor heating with a chrome heated towel rail. There is a large  corner shower, wash basin and W. C.

Garden

There is a large garden to the rear of the cottage, which is shared with Blacksmiths and Woodmans cottages.  Garden furniture and barbeques are provided.

We are sorry but no pets are allowed in Stable Cottage.

Stable Cottage is available for short breaks all year round:
