The Woodmans holiday cottage was once the heart of the estates forestry operations, and was used to store trees felled on the farm. This large cottage has now been sympathetically converted into comfortable holiday accommodation for up to six people. Woodmans Cottage has been awarded the VisitEngland Gold Award for exceptional quality of accommodation and customer service.
Lounge & Kitchen area
Woodmans Cottage has an open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area. There is a solid oak fitted kitchen with dishwasher, electric oven with halogen hob and microwave. All crockery and cutlery is included. The cottage has solid oak flooring with under floor heating, and quality lounge and dining furniture. A feature of the lounge is the Egyptian crystal chandelier, and the magnificent views through the huge window looking across to the Lake District fells, including Coniston Old Man, Dow Crag, Walna Scar and Swirl How. On the second floor there is a gallery area, again with excellent views of the surrounding lake district fells. There is a flat screen television with FreeSat and DVD player. There is also a wood burner for those cosy winter nights by the fire, a basket of logs is provided.

Bedrooms
There are three bedrooms in Woodmans holiday cottage. The double bedroom has an oak sleigh bed, double wardrobe, tallboy chest of drawers, dressing table and bedside tables. The first floor twin bedroom has two oak single beds, a double wardrobe, tallboy chest of drawers and bedside table. The twin bedroom on the ground floor, has two oak single beds, a double wardrobe and tallboy chest of drawers and bedside table. All of the bedrooms have solid oak flooring and under floor heating. All Bed linen and towels are included.
Bathroom
There are two well appointed bathrooms, both are fully tiled with under floor heating. The ground floor bathroom has a large shower, wash basin and W.C. The first floor bathroom has a large bath, chrome heated towel rail, washbasin and W.C.
Garden
There is a large garden to the rear of the cottage, which is shared with Stable and Blacksmiths cottages. Garden furniture and barbeques are provided.
We are sorry but no pets are allowed in Woodmans holiday Cottage.
